IBM Corp. has fired 3,900 workers as part of its layoff campaign, which is associated with the separation of its Kyndryl company and a portion of Watson Health. The layoffs will result in a $300 million charge between January and March, and its shares also dropped 2% in extended trade. Despite this, IBM's sales growth for 2022 was 5.5%, the highest in a decade. The market appears to be unimpressed by the scale of the company's planned job cuts, which only represented 1.5% of its staff.
